Description: 72,000-seat NFL stadium Owner: AEG Architect: Gensler CM/GC: TBD Budget: $1,000,000,000 Status: Potential Completion – NFL Season 2017

Description:

ICON Venue Group is serving as the Owner’s Representative for AEG in their effort to build a NFL stadium and event center in Downtown Los Angeles on the L.A. Live campus adjacent to STAPLES Center.  In order to build the stadium in the desired location, the current West Hall of the LA Convention Center will need to be demolished. This creates an opportunity to rebuild a new, contiguous addition to the current South Hall convention space – elevating the LA Convention Center to a top 5 US convention destination. ICON Venue Group is also serving as Owner’s Representative for the new convention center addition, otherwise known as the new Pico Hall.

Farmers Field will have permanent seating for 72,000 for NFL games, including luxury suites and other premium seating opportunities. The design will allow for expandable seating to 76,250 for hosting marquee events such as Super Bowls and World Cup Soccer final matches. Farmers Field will have 218 suites including Private Suites, Bunker Suites, and Event Suites. Plans include 1,700,000 gross sq. ft. with a retractable roof and flexible event space to allow for even more capacity for large conventions in Downtown LA.
