Description:

ICON Venue Group served as Owner’s Representative for the new L.A. Convention Center New Hall during the pre-development phase when the design was being contemplated as part of the Farmers Field project. Located adjacent to L.A. LIVE, the $2.5 billion sports and entertainment district in downtown L.A, the 600,000 sf new component of the convention center project would replace the current West Hall with a modern facility connected to the existing South Hall. Plans included demolishing the West Hall and replacing it with the $314 million facility spanning over Pico Boulevard and connecting the convention center with Farmers Field, a $1 billion NFL stadium.

The project also included new meeting rooms, the largest ballroom in L.A. at nearly 50,000 sf, and a renovation of Gilbert Lindsay Plaza, which would significantly increase the amount of green space and public plaza available for community uses.
