ICON Venue Group was hired to represent the Chicago Cubs and work in conjunction with City and Cubs officials throughout activation, design and construction on a new spring training facility that includes a $54 million state-of-the-art stadium, $22 million two-story player development facility and $23 million of related infrastructure, including an enhanced Riverview Park.

The development is the first and largest of its kind in the Cactus League. The player development areas include a clubhouse facility for all major and minor league operations, six practice fields, an agility field, in-field diamond, batting cages and pitching mounds. In January 2015, the team announced Sloan Valve Company, a 109-year-old business, as the new naming rights partner. The facility was renamed, Sloan Park.
